The Slingshot UFO V2 is Slingshot's very first no-strut kite. This kite is optimized for hydrofoiling and constructed using D1 Tejin fabric, the lightest ripstop material on the market. Moreover, the kite is strutless, making it even lighter. Weight savings have also been achieved through the use of a thin bladder material, minimal scuff guards, and minimizing the use of stitched seams. All of these factors make the Slingshot UFO V2 ultra-lightweight and incredibly efficient!

The UFO sits slightly lower in the wind window, which means it doesn't perform as well in terms of upwind ability compared to a 1/3 strut kite. As a result, it's not the best choice for racing and high-speed riding. However, if you're primarily into freeriding and catching waves, and you want a kite that's there for you whenever you need it, then the UFO is a fantastic choice!
