Don't let the 1195 cm² surface area fool you. The Code Foils X-1195 rides like a much smaller foil, delivering an incredibly agile, responsive feel while maintaining the easy takeoff and confidence you'd expect from a larger wing.
Whether you're parawinging, wing foiling, surf foiling or riding with a Foil Drive or Duotone Assist, the X-1195 offers an impressive combination of early lift, speed, maneuverability and efficiency.
If you're looking for one foil that does almost everything exceptionally well, this could easily become your daily driver.
✔ Feels significantly smaller than 1195 cm²
✔ Early lift and effortless takeoffs
✔ Fast acceleration with almost zero drag
✔ Surprisingly tight turning radius
✔ Excellent pump and glide
✔ Highly resistant to ventilation
✔ Stable, forgiving and confidence inspiring
After several sessions on the X-1195, one thing became obvious: this foil completely changes your expectations of what a 1200 cm² front wing should feel like.
On paper it looks like a large front wing, but once you're on the water it honestly feels closer to a 900 cm² foil. It rolls naturally into turns, carves surprisingly tight arcs and never feels bulky.
Another pleasant surprise is the acceleration. Many medium-aspect foils in this size range feel slightly draggy during takeoff, but not the X-1195. It builds speed immediately and wants to keep accelerating.
Despite its playful character, the pump and glide are excellent. Connecting bumps and linking waves requires very little effort, making longer rides much easier than expected.
One of my favourite characteristics is how forgiving it is during breaches. Even when the tips come out of the water during aggressive turns or steep sections, the foil continues flying with very little tendency to ventilate. That gives you a huge amount of confidence to push harder.

In my opinion, the X-1195 is much closer to the 1130S than to the 1300S
The low-end lift and takeoff are remarkably similar, while the X-1130 has only a slight advantage in pure glide. If you know how to stay on the bumps, the real-world difference is surprisingly small.
That makes the X-1195 an excellent choice if you want just a little more forgiveness without giving up the lively feel of the smaller models.
For the most balanced ride I recommend:
This setup gives the foil an incredibly responsive yet controlled feel and really brings out its playful character.
Ideal in light to medium wind and excellent for bigger ocean swell, especially for heavier riders looking for early lift and effortless free-flight.
A perfect upgrade from beginner foils. More performance without becoming demanding or technical.
The combination of tight turns, speed and efficient pumping makes it a fantastic option for connecting waves.
The early lift and excellent efficiency make powered sessions incredibly fun while maintaining a natural surfing feel.
The Code Foils X-1195 offers one of the most balanced riding experiences in the entire X-Series. It combines the easy takeoff and confidence of a larger foil with the agility and responsiveness of something much smaller.
If you're looking for one front wing that can cover everything from light-wind parawing sessions to surf foiling and powered Foil Drive rides, the X-1195 deserves a place in your quiver.
