Ready to experience the magic of gliding downwind for kilometers, powered only by the wind and your foil?
We’re launching a unique Downwind Wingfoil Course on the IJsselmeer — designed to introduce riders to the world of true downwind foiling in a fun, safe, and structured way.

🧭 The Concept

Downwind foiling is the future — and the thrill of linking glides across open water is like nothing else. But let’s face it: the learning curve can be steep.

Our downwind safaris offer a progressive path:

  1. Start with the wing – Learn to ride downwind with control and confidence.

  2. Advance to flagged-out gliding – Use the wing as support while learning to read bumps.

  3. Eventually transition to parawing or paddle-up – Unlock full freedom on your foil.

📍 Location: IJsselmeer, Netherlands

We run these downwinders between Vluchthaven Lelystad and Rotonde Spot Almere/Lelystad — a 5 to 6 km stretch of open water, perfect for learning.
We wait for ideal wind: side-shore to side-on, from either southwest or northeast (18–30 knots max).

✅ Minimum Skill Requirements

To join the wing downwind safaris, you must be able to:

  • ✅ Gybe consistently in both directions

  • ✅ Ride small stretches with your wing flagged out

  • ✅ Make smooth transitions toe-side and being able to carve heel-side

  • ✅ Have your own gear (we can advise on setup if needed)

Not quite there yet? No worries — join our regular wingfoil coaching to build up your skills!
