Markermeer Wingfoil and Foil Spots

• Rotonde Spot – Lelystad
  A versatile location with protected flat water inside the harbour and rolling waves near the harbour entrance. Suitable for beginners, experienced riders, wingfoil, parawing and downwind foiling.
• Werkhaven
  A protected spot offering flat-water conditions inside the harbour, with more active water and foil-friendly waves around the harbour entrance.
• Pampushaven – Almere
  A popular Markermeer location with easy access and different riding conditions depending on the wind direction. Suitable for wingfoil and, in the right conditions, parawing and downwind foiling.
• Marina Muiderzand – Almere
  A beginner-friendly wingfoil spot with shallow water, easy access, nearby parking and useful facilities. It works best during the colder months, as aquatic plants can become a serious problem during summer.
• Muiden A beautiful and versatile Markermeer spot that works with easterly, northerly and westerly winds. It offers completely flat water as well as excellent waves with a northerly wind, making it suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. Access is easy via a sandy beach, with free parking on the grass behind the dyke, approximately 50 metres from the water. The sandy bottom presents no particular hazards, although water shoes are always recommended. From June onwards, aquatic plants can make the spot practically unusable.
